Dalby. Together with original dust jacket clipped at the front but unclipped at the rear and having a 4/6 price. The back panel lists 9 books from the 'Truth in a Tale' series. The boards are very good plus with just a hint of fading to the spine slightly, more so at the tips. Internally, there is an ownership name on the front free endpaper but otherwise the pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket, which is now protected in a clear removable cover (not shown in our images), is dust stained and has a toned mark on the rear panel and has some loss to the spine tips and corners. All edges gilt, dark teal endpapers xxii, 504pp with black and white illustrations by Chris Hammond. There is a little toning to the spine and a hint of pushing to the spine tips and corners with a little cockling to the front board and a tiny 2mm hole in the cloth on the lower joint. Internally, there is a bookplate on the front pastedown and splitting to the endpapers although the binding remains firm. The pages are clean with just the occasional faint spot to the margins. The book presents very well and is an excellent 1st edition example of Chris Hammond's beautifully observed illustrations.
