Intended to help children in learning Greek and Latin, it was edited by Jean Meslier, a grammarian and hellenist who notably directed the city of Laon's college in the 17th century. A magnificent copy bound at the time in morocco and richly gilt-tooled in the style of the greatest binders of this period.
