Chicago: National Tailoring Company, 1931. First edition. Hardcover. Folio (19" x 18.5"). 58pp. Embossed decorated brown cloth. Some age wearing throughout. Head and tail of spine frayed and bumped. The decoration on the front shows a scene from "American History" titled "Hiawatha's Wedding Journey" taken from the original painting in color by J. L. G. Ferris. The catalogue shows hundreds of different textile samples (wool) and describes in detail their best usage through full page color drawings and sketches. Also, a section of 12 b/w annotated photos at rear depicting the tailors at work, the production line and the shipping department. A wonderful, detailed catalogue of men's fashion during the 1930's.

Folio. 20 loose leaves (title-page + nineteen plates numbered 2 to 20, some coated and some un-coated), as issued. Original photo-illustrated paper portfolio. Cover photograph mounted on stiff paper portfolio. Book housed in a custom-made green cloth clamshell-box, with title laid on spine. Sasha Stone (1895-1940) belonged to the circle around the constructivist periodical "G", which included Moholy-Nagy, Mies van der Rohe, El Lissitzky and Walter Benjamin. He created the photomontage for the dust-jacket of Benjamin's famous book "Einbahnstraße" (One-Way Street).
