From the library of Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. (1909-2000), an American actor (his credits include Gunga Din) and a highly decorated naval officer of World War II. With a lengthy inscription to him, that begins, "You and I crossed the Adriatic one night in 1944..." it goes on to thank Fairbanks for introducing him to Jack Watson, "one of your Beach Jumpers," and signed Robert F. Houlihan. This volume includes an interview with Houlihan, in which he references the Beach Jumpers. With a TSL from Houlihan to Fairbanks, as well as photocopy (provided by Houlihan) of his inscription to Jack Watson. A very nice association copy.
