The early edition with illustrations presaging the borders that Tasha Tudor introduced to many of her watercolors. Le Mair's delicate watercolor reflect the earlier work of and are typical of the early 20th century. One poem set to music on each two-page spread. One of Le Mair's watercolors accompanies each poem, most in "modern" settings. There is light soiling to cover and endpapers. Some discoloration to endpapers. A closed 3/4" tear to the front free endpaper. A half-inch piece has been torn from the last page.
