One of the addition essay considers the Christology of St Paul from the same perspective. The poignant plea of the introduction for further understanding 'if the Jew is to be spared further suffering, and if the Christian is to be saved from further wrong-doing against Israel' is sharpened by the knowledge of the suffering the twentieth century was to bring.
