This gorgeous book is a first edition of the combined titles, "Now We Are Six" and "When We Were Very Young" printed in 1932. Spine ends lightly rubbed, very minor bumping to corners and some slight soiling to boards and sunning to spine. No internal markings or dedications. Light pencil bookseller markings and price on FFEP. Twelve colour plates by original Milne artist Earnest Shepard with scores of smaller black and white drawings throughout.
Included within is a bookseller's 3 x 5 card from the New York childrens bookstore, Books of Wonder, with a complete description and selling price of $150.00.
