Minor wear to the corners. The endpapers appear discoloured but may have been issued as such. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustjacket has a little bit of wear at the corners and spine ends. The story of Moritz Nachstern a Norwegian Jew who was sent to Auschwitz during World War II and later moved to Sachsenhausen, where he was one of a group of prisoners who produced counterfeit British and American currency notes for their captors under the secret project name "Operation Bernhard". Translated from the original 1949 Norwegian edition. Includes a section of black and white historical photographs. Nachstern's story was released as a Academy award winning film called "The Counterfeiters" in 2007. .
