In its original boards which have a design in blue, red, black, light brown and white in a kind of “c” shape with the opening of the “c” downwards. The spine, quarter boards and triangular covers of all corners are brown leather. The spine has 4 raised sections done in a rope design, two of them framing a red area where the title is done in gilt. The front cover has the paper worn away on top and bottom board edges, exposing the board but with almost no erosion of the boards. The front cover design area has several areas where it is worn away but only the surface design is gone, the board is whole and strong underneath, there are no holes and no gouges or rips.
