Includes his early service in the Manchester City Police, WW2 army service, Chief Constable of Leicester, and service in the ''Met'' in the 1960's and 70's where he was responsible for stamping out the widespread corruprion in the force, particularly in CID. 320pp, 25 b&w illustrations.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
