London: Elliot Stock, 1876. First edition, thus. Full Leather. Very good. Being a facsimile reprint of the first edition / with an introduction by Rev. Alexander B. Grosart. 12mo., (18cm). Panelled black morocco, with floral blind stamped border. Five raised bands. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers, inside gilt dentelles. Matching gilt blocked decorations of acorns and oak leaves to spine compartments and covers. Facsimile of the 1633 University of Cambridge first edition. xvi, 192, [3], index. Some tanning to pages at margins - seems to be a recurring issue with some Stock editions - joints rubbed, slight crack to front inner hinge. No ownership marks or annotations. No limitation, but a scarce Elliot Stock facsimile edition with no other copies listed online as of May, '23.
