Articles on Road, Track, Hill with pictures of Ray Harroun, Winner of the Indianapolis 500, also his race at Indianapolis Fair where he finished one minute behind after taking only 47 seconds to change his tire after the third mile. Articles on self-starters in 1912 cars; how owning a car saved people went there was a streetcar strike, "Milady at the wheel" (showing stylish women attired for riding in cars), Harvey Johnson employee of the E-R-I-T Company demonstrated how he could hurdle his car at high speed over railroad tracks, many photographs, ads. Very scarce in very good condition bound in original wraps.

Background: The Jackson Automotive Company was known for its extraordinarily well built cars; particularly, their luxury models built in 1914 with the Jackson Imperial at $1885.00 being their largest and most expensive and while sales were made all across the Eastern United States, the New York sales division was where the greatest number of sales took place. Earlier their focus was on racing cars and in 1908 the Jackson entry led at the Indianapolis 500 which was stopped at 235 miles due to poor track conditions and a deadly wreck; therefore, the organizers refused to declare a winner. After entering three race cars in the 1911 Indianapolis 500 they moved to emphasizing beautiful cars instead of the racing variety and at one time had 500 works producing 2,000 cars a year before the assembly line concept was introduced. The 330 GT were V12-powered Ferraris produced from 1963-1968, this book appears to have been sold along with the 2+2 Series II. 106 pp., printed in Italian, French, and English. Original manual, not a facsimile. Black front cover with photo of 330 GT, red rear cover, no title to spine. Interior of front cover is red with Ferrari logo near hinge, title page specifies "300/GT 1965", and "modifications introduced in respect of the 1964- 330/GT". Five pages of modifications, followed by 1965 330/GT operation guide. Chapters include: general specification, running instructions, lubrication, routine maintenance, chassis servicing, electrical installation, and tool kit. Detailed diagrams and photos throughout. Condition: Edges of covers are rubbed, spine is rubbed. Binding is tight and sturdy, pages are clean and without any marks. Ferrari dealership (Luigi Chinetti Motors) stamp on front free endpaper. Chicago: Diamond T Motor Car Company, 1936. 1936 trade brochure of the legendary 3/4 ton Model 80. -- 11 x 8.5 inches, unfolded 33 x 16 1/4 inches. -- Very good condition, no tears, no fading. Ships from Hawaii. Midyear in 1936, the company joined International, Federal, Reo, and Mack as a heavy-duty player in the light-duty game with the three-quarter-ton Model 80. Two versions were offered: the Model 80S (standard) and 80D (deluxe). The deluxe model added an electric clock and jeweled cigar lighter. Model 80 production was brief; it ended midway through 1938. Common estimates claim "a few thousand" were built during that short run.
