Robert Sanderson was a 17th-century English bishop who served as the Bishop of Lincoln. Sanderson was known for his studies in logic whose research was even known to influence Isaac Newton. Author Izaak Walton, wrote a series of biographical 'lives' of notable English figures, wrote one on Sanderson entitled simply 'The Life of Dr Sanderson' in which he describes Sanderson's research and logic principles, as well as ecclesiastical positions.
This 1678 first edition of Walton's 'Life of Sanderson' includes some of Sanderson's own tracts and reports.
