Hard cover bound in black cloth with a gold seal on the front cover. There is light to moderate wear to the binding, which is bumped at the corners and beginning to fray along the bottom edge. There is a small tear at the headcap of the spine. A few pages have yellow highlighting. The text is mostly unmarked. Illustrated throughout with photographs.

Light wear to the binding. A small bookplate on the front pastedown suggests this is copy 443 of an unspecified limitation. The leaf for pages 49-50 has a small tear at the fore edge. Otherwise the book appears unused. A sound copy with clean text. There are two pages of photos at the front showing 4 different Herring homes in Dublin and in Lenoir Counties in North Carolina. Herrings in the front of the book are focused in Virginia and North Carolina, but later in the book they have spread to other locations in the South, including Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri, and Texas.

Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Company, 1968. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavos. Variously paginated. COMPLETE 7 VOLUME SET. Hardcovers bound in blue cloth. The bindings show moderate wear and are quite sturdy. Some corners are a little bumped, and there is some foxing to the covers. Outside edges of the text blocks are foxed, but the interior appears clean. One leaf in Volume III is loose, but this appears to be an addition to correct a printing error. A second leaf for pages 283/284 is bound in between 382 and 385, but the correct leaf for 383/385 is laid in loosely to correct the mistake. (There is also a 283-284 bound in where it is supposed to be). So the text is complete and is as issued. Occasionally illustrated with some family crests, coats of arms, and photos, but this is not a heavily illustrated work. A decent set of the complete work. This set weighs about 20 pounds.

Blue hardcover with gold lettering and gold embossed design on front cover. Minimal wear to the binding. Outer edges of the text block show very light foxing. No foxing to the interior. The text is clean and sound. Illustrated with photographs and tables. Map endpapers. The text also contains a few text maps. The Swaffords appear to have come out of Greenville, South Carolina and settled largely in Litton, Bedford County, Tennessee.

Massive compilation of Knob Knocker High School history, Knob Knocker, Arkansas, 1924-1958, published on the occasion of its 50th anniversary in 1989 of the then new high school. Includes hundreds of pages of biographies and photos of students, faculty and more over a span of 34 years. In many cases detailed questionnaires were completed by former students and supplied with later in life histories. Deceased students documented when known. Also includes many group photos as well as an index of names and a brief history of the town (at mid-century, the leading strawberry producer in the world). Due to budget restrictions and a lack of equipment the final result was issued in photocopied sheets printed on both sides to be inserted into 3-ring binders.
