Later editions and reprints appeared in the same year (Bruxelles, Le Charlier) and in 1837, 1841, 1846, 1854, and 1874. Francois Xavier Joseph Droz (1773-1850), French economist and historian. His "Économie politique" contains the widely-quoted remarks, "Certain economists seem to think that products are not made for men, but that men are made for products" and "Capital left to itself is an idle toll." Foreward to the second edition London, January 1963. Laid in is an erata slip and a couple of pamphlets for other books and an envelope for Omni Pub. in CA. Main portion of the dw in Near Fine condition, some rubbing along the foredge. Dust Jacket is very worn and faded on the spine with small tears and small pieces missing. Corners are rubbed/worn. Book in VG with Near Fine condition. Top and bottom edges of the spine are bent under, corners bumped/rubbed. This is the revised January 1963 HC edition. Ships with delivery confirmation.

Inside is nice with the exception of a border mark around something that had been laid in and removed on flyleaf page. Hardcover, no dust jacket, is bent and has a wavy affect from being stored poorly. There are some small nicks on the spine and top edge. Also a water spot on back cover. Please see photos.
