Inscribed by Gill on the front free endpaper "Eric Gill for H. Davis, 22.3.28" A very good copy in original grey canvas spine, lettered in black, with red paper covered boards with black lettering and illustration to the front board. Some loss to the paper on the boards, affecting 7 letters of the address at the bottom. Spine with just a little darkening. Overall a very good copy. Uncommon inscribed by Gill. --Evan Gill. The text pages show a little age-toning, with some foxing around the margins; the plates are exceptionally bright and clean. Neatly bound in green cloth, probably dating from the 1930's. The bookplate is of Kenneth Lazenby, a founder member of the Alpine Garden Society. RARE.. Second edition. Cloth. Very Good.

This copy is number 59 of 60 copies made available for sale. Minor scuffing to head and tail of spine. This is a copy of the limited edition of the beautifully illustrated Australian childrens book about the acceptance of differences.

With 10 full page plates by Edgard Tijtgat, including cover illustrations + title illustration and colophon vignette, all colored by hand. The libretto by Ramuz was translated into Dutch by Martinus Nijhoff. This is number 67 of a limited edition of 225 copies printed on 'Hollandsch papier'. Corners a bit scuffed, light soiling to rear cover. Inside clean, no marks or inscriptions. 48 pp., 29 x 20 cm. .

This is a wonderful copy of the first trade edition of 'Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens' which was the first featuring of Peter Pan in the book title. It has the original russet cloth with gilt titles to the spine and upper board, along with a decorative gilt illustration of Peter Pan riding a goat on the front board and a map of Kensington Gardens on the front free endpaper.

Critics were overwhelmed by the symbiosis of the writer J. M. Barrie with the at this time relatively unknown illustrator Arthur Rackham.
