THE MARK OF ZORRO, Grosset & Dunlap, 1924, first edition, spine extremities a bit lightened, age toning to the t.p.e.'s, else a bright, tight vg+ copy in an apparent first issue vg dust-wrapper with an equally bright pictorial front dust-wrapper panel with some chipping to the dust-wrapper spine extremities of the tanned dust-wrapper spine. The rear dust-wrapper panel also exhibits some tanning to both the upper fore edge margins. The photo-play edition with black & white stills from the film of the same name starring Douglas Fairbanks senior. Most uncommon in dust-wrapper.

A Moonlight Boy, Ticknor and Company, 1886, first edition, slight wear and rubbing to spine extremities and fore edge corner tips, else a tight vg copy in the publishers original pictorial binding. While not a fantasy title per se, chapter 12, "The Attic Ghost," does indeed contain 12 pages of an encounter with a talking ghost. A very scarce book.

THE BRIDGE OF SAN LUIS REY, Longmans, Green & Company, 1927, first edition, some foxing and/or off-setting to the end-papers and paste-downs, else just about fine in like dust-wrapper with some closed tears. Very nice. PULITZER PRIZE winner. Precedes the American edition. Along with THE BRIDGE OF SAN LUIS REY, Boni, 1929, vg in wraps with decoration and covers by Rockwell Kent. 

CHILDHOOD'S END, Ballantine, 1953, first edition, slight rubbing to corner tips, else a tight, bright vg+ copy in like full color pictorial dust-wrapper with some slight wear and minor professional restoration to the dust-wrapper spine tips. One of the authors best and most certainly a highspot in any Science Fiction collection. Among those titles listed in BALLANTINE BOOKS: THE FIRST DECADE, Bailiwick Books, 1987. SIGNED by the author on a bookplate laid in. 

SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES, Simon & Schuster, 1962, first edition, slight wear to the head of the spine, else a bright, tight near fine copy in like pictorial dust-wrapper. COOGER & DARK'S PANDEMONIUM SHADOW SHOW help promote this novel to be counted among the authors best works. The source book for the film of the same name. SIGNED by the author.

A cornerstone book in the building of a horror fantasy library. The only book ( save a pamphlet ) published during the authors life time.

THE OUTSIDER AND OTHERS, Arkham House, 1939, first edition, a bright near fine copy in a vg+ Virgil Finlay pictorial dust-wrapper with a bit of wear and some light dust-soil to the rear dust-wrapper panel. The first book issued from this esteemed publisher. 1/1,200 copies.

*** THE TRUE FIRST EDITION ***THE ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN, Chatto & Windus, 1884, first edition, lower corner tips gently bumped, slight soil to small area of rear cover, spine ever so slightly tanned, else a tight vg+/near fine copy in the publishers pictorially stamped cloth with unbroken hinges. Illustrated. The true first edition of this classic work (preceding the American edition), and arguably among the top two or three masterpieces of 19th century American literature. 

THE MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR AT STYLES, John Lane, New York, 1920, first edition, several leaves with some smallish light brown stains, else a fine copy rebound in full tan calf with very nice text block and with gold gilt stamping to the spine and front cover matching the original binding design. The authors first novel and quite scarce in the true first edition as is here.

THE END OF ETERNITY, Doubleday, 1955, first edition, some off-setting to the end-papers and paste-downs no doubt do to the dust-wrapper flaps, else vg+/near fine in vg pictorial dust-wrapper with some light wear and tear to the dust-wrapper spine and dust-wrapper extremities. SIGNED by the author. A time travel novel.

THE WAR OF THE WORLDS, Heinemann, 1898, first edition, some age toning to the top page edges, else a bright vg+/near fine copy. Most uncommon thus. Laid in is a fine 3 page, 135 word holograph letter SIGNED by Wells to Jane Barr on his EASTON GLEBE, DUNMOW residential stationery concerning a snafu with her letter and its subsequent return. He explains why he was unable to respond for too long a time; asking how long she is staying in London; asking him also to ring up his good friend Rabecca West. A nice chatty letter.

I, ROBOT, Gnome Press, 1950, first edition, vg+ or better in bright near fine dust-wrapper with slight restoration to the head of the dust-wrapper spine.
